Note from author Carol de Giere: Stephen Schwartz has signed a limited number of copies to be sold here. I'll be signing them as well, and will personalize them if you want me to. Autographed copies are $35.00 plus shipping (Connecticut residents add 6% sales tax). I prefer to send them in priority mail boxes, shipped from Danbury Connecticut, so for shipping, you can go to http://postcalc.usps.gov/ and in the blank for weight enter 3 lbs to cover the book and box. Email me to reserve a copy and I'll send you my Paypal email address, or you can mail a check. Please write to carol@defyinggravitythebook.com if you're interested.

- Godspell, Original Motion Picture (amazon.com USA)

- Shinbone Alley (amazon.com USA)
- Stephen Schwartz’s neighbor, George Kleinsinger, inspired him to become a musical theatre songwriter. This motion picture version is an animated film, and stars the vocal talents of Eddie Bracken and Carol Channing.

Godspell Sheet Music
- Godspell (amazon.com USA)
- Unlike many other Broadway shows, Stephen Schwartz's musical take on the last days of Jesus is scored for a small combo rather than orchestra, which makes this piano reduction hardly a reduction at all. From the raunchy barrelhouse swagger of "Turn Back, O Man" to the soft-shoe of "All for the Best" and the gorgeous lyricism of "Day by Day" and "All Good Gifts," this book is full of fun-to-play selections. Also included is "Beautiful City," a number written for the motion picture.

The original novel Wicked by Gregory Maguire and its two sequels
- Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (amzon.com USA)
- The novel that triggered Stephen Schwartz's idea for the musical Wicked. Maguire's novel was of course inspired by the Frank L. Baum book The Wizard of Oz and the 1939 movie of the same name.
- A Lion Among Men: Volume Three in the Wicked Years (amazon.com USA)
Here’s how Gregory describes his new Lion book: A Lion Among Men follows the peripatetic career of the Cowardly Lion. First seen in the [novel] Wicked as a lion cub culled from his pride for the purpose of laboratory experimentation, the Lion (known as Brrr) makes his name in that little Matter of Dorothy about which all of Oz is still talking. But one doesn’t necessarily become lion-hearted by going after public approval, by racking up those medals and titles and golden statuettes at award ceremonies. Tarnished with scandal of every stripe, Brrr is loathed by the Animals who believe he betrayed them in helping Dorothy do in the Witch. He fares no better trying to live as a lion among men. When civil war breaks out in Oz, Brrr is caught in the line of fire as he interviews the mysterious old oracle, Yackle, about the sources of Elphaba’s power. He must choose how much approval he can live without. A bit player all his life, he may yet be the linchpin on which the prosecution of the war rests.
